Favourite Global Memory:
Honestly, my favourite Global memory would have to be our Algonquin trip with our German exchange students. It was one of the trips I chose to partake in, and it was one heck of a journey. It was a very spiritually rewarding trip through the multiple hiking trails we took, and it was an awesome opportunity to bond with our foreign counterparts.
Unexpected Lessons Learned from Global:
Throughout our Global experience, I learned a little bit more about myself and what I could do. I was honestly pretty shocked at how I was able to handle the hefty workload. I also realized just how much I truly love being bombastic and out there in front of an audience of peers.
What Does Global Mean to You?
While our Global experience was pretty significantly dampened by the ongoing global pandemic, Global still means a good bit to me. It was an amazing experience to be able to learn in an unorthodox manner, and I know that in my later years of education I will surely miss the freedom and fun of Global.
Why did you Apply to Global?
I applied to Global because it just seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up. My family also encouraged me to do it, along with a few Innisdale teachers.
Describe Global in 3 Words:
Eye-opening, unorthodox, and liberating
What did you enjoy most about online school?
To put it bluntly, I wasn't too big a fan of online learning, though I did have quite a bit of fun connecting online. I'd say that the online debates we did were certainly a highlight.

The Resource Curse - Conflict Resources
How is it that there are nations around the world that are rich in precious natural resources yet stay stuck in a constant state of poverty and conflict? I explore this topic in my ISU and go over many forms of conflict resources around the world and their effect on the global market and on the livelihood of developing nations. I explore some of the darker sides of the natural resource world and the problems that arise in resource rich nations.
