What is your favourite kind of tea?
Raspberry Cream Earl Grey.
Which assignment was the most fun to mark?
Performances, Random Acts of Kindness and C2N.
Have you picked up any new hobbies during this period of social distancing?
Bird watching with my kids and singing in a virtual choir.
Are you a cat or dog person? Explain your choice.
Dog - there's a reason dog spelled backwards is "God" and cat spelled backwards is "tac".
What is the best song of all time? Explain your choice.
This is really hard... today I will say The Circle Game by Joni Mitchell who in this song beautifully articulates the passage of time. I grow increasingly aware of how sacred time is and COVID-19 has served to reinforce that sentiment as has the day by day observations of my children growing up faster than I would like.
Why do you keep coming back to teach Global?
I keep coming back because of the important work, personal growth, and learning achieved by the Global Perspectives program and most importantly the incredible students and colleagues I have the privilege to work within portable 11.
If you could give one piece of advice to the Global class of 2020, what would it be?
Do your best, clean up your messes, and always be kind.
