Favourite Global Memory:
My favourite Global memory was when Mr. Babcock discovered the portable’s storage box, also known as the ceiling, and promptly attempted to erase it from his mind. I can only hope that one day, the ceiling will be cleaned.
Unexpected Lessons Learned from Global:
I have learned that distance learning is completely feasible through Global, albeit with a strong, capable group of both teachers and students. I also learned that different people handle crises in unique ways and that my free-time is not spent as productively as I would like it to be.
What Does Global Mean to You?
To me, Global represents the necessary building of tolerance between different people, whether those people hail from different schools, countries, or continents.
Why did you Apply to Global?
I applied to Global because the program allows students to have new experiences in various countries and with different people. Travelling, hosting, and becoming friends with someone from another country were major factors in my decision as well as a heavier workload that could challenge me more than a normal curriculum.
Describe Global in 3 Words:
Adaptable, Enjoyable, Tolerant
What did you enjoy most about online school?
I enjoyed the freedoms that online learning provided. I could choose my own schedule and sleep as long as I wanted. When I decided to work, I was fully awake, aware, and prepared to focus. This allowed me to complete more work and waste less time.

Wealth Inequality: The Great Divide
As put in Paul Van Der Merwe’s famous quote, “Money makes the world go round…”. The truth of this statement has been in effect for millennia, but only in recent decades has the world felt its full impact. This paper is written on extreme wealth inequality; the divide it creates between the different economic classes and its other detrimental effects on the world. With such a fundamental aspect of society being exploited and used for the benefit of the few, the fairness of opportunity and every person’s right to a good quality of life suffers. This paper explores the impacts of economic inequality from the level of the individual, to international concern.
