Access to Women’s Healthcare in Developing Countries

Hanna Hoogeveen

The health of half the population in the world (women) is an issue that needs to be explored. The lives of women rely on local, national, and international policies. It is most important in developing countries. Without adequate health care, the lives of women are shortened, they are not able to reach their full potential as humans and their societies are not able to progress because half their populations’ lives are at stake. In our own country, women also experience healthcare discrimination. This paper will explore issues with respect to access to healthcare for women. It will be exploring three specific countries: Guatemala, Kenya, and Haiti.
