Favourite Global Memory:
My Favourite Global Memory was probably the day that the first sections of our ISU’s were due. I loved this day because we were all super tired and everyone was just so out of it that day. We were all there to support one another and at lunch, I took everyone on a coffee run because we all needed it.
Unexpected Lessons Learned from Global:
An Unexpected lesson that I learned from Global was to enjoy every experience that you have with everybody because you do not know what is going to happen. I also learned that I have more creativity than I thought because in Global you are forced to try out of the box presentation methods and that allowed me to work creatively and figure out what my strengths were.
What Does Global Mean to You?
Global was a crazy experience. It not only allowed me to come out of my comfort zone but to meet so many new and amazing people that I would not originally know if I was not part of the program. Global means family, experiences, and learning opportunities to me. It allowed me to grow as a person and meet so many new people.
Why did you Apply to Global?
I have always wanted to apply to Global because I thought it would allow me to be more myself and I love to travel so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for me. When my brother was in the program I only got a glimpse of what the actual experience was like, but now that I have been through it, I realized that it was so much more. I wanted to get to know people so well that I could always count on them and everyone that I know who has been through Global has told me that that is what was going to happen.
Describe Global in 3 Words:
Unexpected, Intense, Unique.
What did you enjoy most about online school?
I would not say that I enjoyed online learning as much as I would’ve if we were in class but the thing that was the most interesting to me about online learning was the fact that I had more freedom. Although in the end, I got a little bit less motivated than I originally was, I was able to work on my own schedule and finish the work that I needed to get done in a timely manner. I also enjoyed having the google classroom for submitting assignments because it allowed me to look and make sure that I had completed everything that I needed to do.

Access to Women’s Healthcare In Developing Countries
The health of half the population in the world (women) is an issue that needs to be explored. The lives of women rely on local, national, and international policies. It is most important in developing countries. Without adequate health care, the lives of women are shortened, they are not able to reach their full potential as humans and their societies are not able to progress because half their populations’ lives are at stake. In our own country, women also experience healthcare discrimination. This paper will explore issues with respect to access to healthcare for women. It will be exploring three specific countries: Guatemala, Kenya, and Haiti.
