Favourite Global Memory:

My favourite memory from my time in global would have to be the Great Online Debates. It was weird because it was done via Zoom but I feel like not actually being face to face (physically) eased the nerves and made it a lot more fun.

Unexpected Lessons Learned from Global:

Global taught me to try new things. In global, you’re kinda forced to come out of your shell. Because the program is completely different from traditional schooling, doing what you're used to might not always work so we’re taught to adjust.

What Does Global Mean to You?

An opportunity to help expand your capacity for learning and further the development of your personal growth.

Why did you Apply to Global?

I applied because I knew global would be a challenge. The program isn’t easy but it challenges you personally and academically in a fun and almost life-changing way.

Describe Global in 3 Words:

Sleep is overrated

What did you enjoy most about online school?

Doing my work from bed.

Human Trafficking: Commerical Sexual Exploitation

“What haunts me is that the prevalence of human trafficking, particularly the sex trafficking of underage girls and young women, means that I have almost definitely seen one of these individuals in my daily life. I’ve sat next to them on the bus, or ordered coffee right behind them. Were their eyes begging for my help, and I simply overlooked, did not notice?” (Shenita Etwaroo, 2018) Across the world, millions of people are being transported across borders and purchased like commodities for the purpose of sex trafficking. These victims are violated for the sole purpose of exploitation. The primary point of examination throughout the course of this paper is human trafficking with the intention of dealing in commercial sexual exploitation. This paper will concentrate on the political, economic and religious views of a nation and how this directly affects and relates to human trafficking.
